Today on the DA RC website I read an article by Darren, about his expedition to Temotu Island 339DA/0, which took place in early January 2025, where he noted my QSO with him along a Long Path. Here is his quote from the article:
"DAY 9 - 10 JANUARY
From 8:30 UTC, listening up, northern hemisphere DX is punching in via the LP and 13OT033 Frank, 14DA014 Eric and 50RC100 Pavel figure in a series of stations worked from this part of the world."
Indeed, from the very beginning of Darren's expedition to Temotu, I was following 339DA/0, but all my attempts to at least hear it were in vain, due to a series of magnetic storms shaking the Earth's ionosphere these days. On January 10th, I decided to deploy my 2 element Delta Loop antenna the Long Path, and heard Darren's weak signal, with a 42 rapport, and I was so surprised, and happy, that Darren answered me, and we were able to conduct a QSO. These were truly unforgettable moments of my life. Thanks to Darren for the QSO, and for all his efforts, that he puts into conducting radio expeditions.
